Baked Brie and Apricot Jam

Oh the simple things we can make that please everyone! I tasted this at a restaurant and just loved the combination of these 3 simple flavors. The presentation was very eye appealing and it seemed as though it should be easy to make, and so of course off I go to give it a try.

The attempt received many compliments, and the simplicity of it just made me smile - three ingredients, such good flavor, and only a few minutes of preparation time, oh joy!

INGREDIENTS -

1 round of Brie
2 Tbsp apricot jam
2 Tbsp dried cranberries

Place the round of Brie on an oven proof platter. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes. When you are ready to serve, slice a “pie wedge” of Brie and pull it slightly away from the rest of the round. The melted Brie will ooze out through the edge of the slice and onto the platter. Drop a couple of tablespoons of apricot jam on top, or drizzle it around the top of the Brie if your jam is thin enough. Top with a sprinkle of dried cranberries.

This is just lovely spread on a baguette slice, but since gluten free crackers are my go to, those were my “vessel” of choice. Whether crackers or bread, whatever you choose to spread this on, you won’t be disappointed. And yes you can eat the whole thing! The “skin” around the Brie is edible too 😊

Place your favorite crackers or bread around the baked brie to serve. This is perfect for the holiday season or entertaining company anytime, everyone will love it!

Now that your three ingredient simple appetizer is done, kick back and enjoy your evening!
